Hello, Crowsnest Pass Community,
I began my massage journey in the Czech Republic, searching for a better life balance in a thriving but challenging accounting career. I have witnessed lots of physical and emotional pain around me, which I, as an empath without the right tools, internalized.
So, I started with a two-year mindfulness program focused on conscious touch, energy, shadow work, and breathwork, which catalyzed profound changes in my life. I became undeniably curious about bodywork, energy-oriented modalities, and trauma-oriented work. So, I listened to my inner voice and went on a lifelong learning journey to learn more.
I continued with the certification program in Sports and Regeneration Swedish Massage in Czechia and courses in Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, Indian Head Massage, and Breuss Massage. My love for mountains brought me to Canmore, which became my playground for 6 years for outdoor activities, spiritual connection with the traditions of First Nations, which I am very grateful for, and mainly a base for continuing education. Since then, I have learned Reiki, basic Shiatsu, and Abhyanga (Ayurvedic Massage) and obtained certification in Thai Massage, and Reflexology.
Another turning point in my career was when I was offered to work in a busy sport-oriented Wildflower Massage & Esthetics clinic in Canmore. Learning from my experienced colleagues with diverse skills and witnessing what therapeutic massage can offer in injury recovery, pain management, and overall health, I was again interested in learning more. I joined Alberta College of Massage Therapy and met some incredible teachers who have since become my private mentors.
My current client base includes athletes dealing with injuries and recovery, patients with neurological symptoms, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, and migraines, or servers and construction workers whose bodies typically endure a lot until they can’t move anymore. However, I still enjoy treating people who need to reduce their stress levels or are just massage lovers, as I am one of them too.
My continuing education includes Kinetic Massage, migraine patients and TMJ disorders (jaw pain) treatment, cervical spine treatment, joint mobilization, cupping, and IATSM. Most recently, I studied oncology massage. I am also a third-year student of Somatic Experiencing, trauma-oriented therapy.
Therapeutically, I often utilize movement-based therapies and use Kinetic Massage principles fused with Thai massage stretches, deep tissue, and myofascial techniques with cupping to reestablish proper joint movement, help with injury recovery, and maintain tissue health. My treatment plan and approach are continuously adapted to suit the client’s needs. Treatments focusing on pain management include the necessary assessment to establish safe treatment.
As a believer in multidisciplinary care, I will do my best to collaborate with other healthcare providers and utilize all that I have learned to help you achieve your goals and regain well-being.
What do I like to do when I am not massaging? I love hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, paddle boarding, and, hopefully, horseback riding again. I enjoy everything even more in the company of my partner.
